At KAG Accountancy we seek to combine the very best of traditions of customer-focused service with the cost-saving efficiencies offered by cloud-based accounting and financial technologies (fintech).
Established in 2005 by Kate Guthrie, KAG base camp was in the Perthshire village of Comrie. Since 2005 we’ve expanded to serve a wide range of private customers and small to mid-sized businesses across the UK and internationally. The key to our growth has been the understanding that every customer is unique. We don’t take a one size fits all approach. From statutory accounts to compliance and personal tax to retirement planning, we take the time to get to know our clients so that we can offer the right solution for their requirements.
From our new offices in Stirling, we continue to look to find innovative ways to assist our clients. Our cloud-based software allows us to work with clients anywhere in the world. We provide the tailored training and support to help our customers realise the improved day to day efficiency as well as the cost-savings these new technology promise.
Ethical & Sustainable
KAG is committed to being a responsible and ethical participant in the local community. We seek to operate in an economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable manner, recognising our actions impact our employees, our customers and suppliers and the communities in which we live. We are proud that, in an industry once characterised by the volume of paper it produced, we are now virtually paperless. We are always happy to meet our clients face to face but recognise the time and cost efficiencies offered by online meetings are matched by the carbon footprint benefits of reduced travel.
We are committed to having a positive social impact on our community and actively support and donate to local charities.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT US
I would strongly recommend KAG Accountancy’s services to anyone looking for professional, helpful and approachable accountancy and bookkeeping support for their business. Kate has consistently provided me with practical and straight forward financial guidance, advice and support.
Kate at KAG Accountancy was very helpful and professional getting us set up with our new joinery business.
We have both used Kate for a number of years with our previous businesses’. Always quick to reply to emails and answer calls.
KAG’s professionalism and attention to detail are second to none and instantly makes what can be a stressful and complicated service relaxed and easy-going. KAG is very approachable, very easy to communicate with and genuinely wants to help you and your business.
I am very happy I chose the team at KAG Accountancy. From the very start, I have found KAG to be a great help to me and my business. They have always been easy to talk to, and have made great efforts to help me with aspects of my business finance, especially when those discussions have lead to important changes. Ultimately the support I have had from KAG has led to me being financially stable enough to grow my business. I can’t recommend them enough.
Having previously used a multi- office accountancy firm, we’d become frustrated by the absence of a consistent point of contact who understood our business needs. Working with KAG has been a breath of fresh air. Efficient and proactive, KAG not only look after our accounting function, they also provide valuable strategic input into the business. Moving to KAG is one of the best business decisions we have made.
Genuinely cannot thank Kate enough for her time, patience, and professional skill in leading my husband and I through the complexities of capital gains tax. What seemed a daunting prospect was made straightforward and understandable by her calm, methodical approach. Kate was thorough in the details and diligent in her work while managing to remain relaxed and informal with both of us. She answered all our questions and effectively explained the requirements for completion of the return. Getting a tax bill is never fun but Kate managed to deal with all the details in two visits, with a great personal touch, taking the stress out of all the online requirements from HMRC. As always, she fitted in with our work schedules, which was really appreciated, gave advice on another couple of queries we had and only required coffee to keep her going.
I was the first-ever KAG client, back in 2003. When I first went self-employed KAG showed me how to maintain correct records, a system I still use to this day. KAG has always been helpful and assisted in the growth of the business. I would be very happy to recommend KAG services to any business.
KAG accountancy has proved invaluable to us since we started with them in 2018. Kate and her team are efficient, highly competent and very approachable. They are highly professional and have guided us along the way and a huge asset to our business!
